A quick but important 2026 update. The original Registry of Marriages building at Canning Rise is closed for redevelopment and isn't expected to reopen until around 2029. In the meantime, ROM-site solemnisations and in-person appointments run from an interim location at Esplanade Mall (Level 3), accessible from Esplanade MRT.
The good news: you don't have to solemnise at the ROM site at all. As long as you appoint a licensed solemniser, you can hold your ceremony almost anywhere in Singapore — a garden, a heritage bungalow, a hotel, a rooftop, or a restaurant.
